Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or just starting out, here’s a simple practice to help you tap into the joy of movement:
1.Set the Mood: Choose music that uplifts or calms you, depending on your intention. Find a space where you feel free to move without restrictions.
2. Move with Intention: Start with gentle movements, swaying your arms or rolling your shoulders. Let your body guide you—there’s no right or wrong way to move.
3. Flow Freely: As you get more comfortable, let your movements become more fluid. Dance however feels right for you. Pay attention to how each part of your body moves, releasing tension with every step, spin, or stretch.
5. Stay Present: Focus on how your body feels in the moment, rather than how it looks. Allow the rhythm to carry you and embrace the freedom that comes from moving without judgment.
