Valentine’s Day is on the horizon, we want to remind you that it’s not about having a special someone to celebrate love, it’s about understanding how we express love to ourselves. What is your love language? How do you practice self-love? Discover what soothes your heart by proclaiming words of affirmation. We introduce this idea in our 7 Mini Rituals and now want to expand on affirmation practices. Bring your whole heart and let’s get started.

Proclaim Affirmations

  • Find a comfortable position

  • Write, speak, or video this exercise

  • Make a heartfelt statement about yourself. For example, “I love myself for who I am.”

  • List qualities about yourself in detail

  • Record these qualities and add your name. For example, “Richard is a generous and empowering coach”

  • Sense your reflection and express these qualities outwardly

  • Affirm yourself 

  • Rest your affirmation in your belly and in your heart

  • Teach this practice to a friend
