Veterans Day - November 2023

A significant number of veterans from the armed services carry the enduring impact of disabilities they acquired while in service. The United States alone has millions of veterans, each with a unique story to tell and some with visible disabilities, such as limb loss or mobility issues, while others carry invisible wounds, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injuries (TBI), or hearing and vision impairments. It is crucial to recognize and honor all veterans, regardless of the nature of their disabilities, and to provide them with the support they need to lead fulfilling lives post-service.

As we reflect on the sacrifices made by veterans, let us also remember the veterans who return with disabilities and the unique challenges they face. It is our collective responsibility to provide the support, resources, and opportunities they need to lead fulfilling lives beyond their military service.

Our Yoga Teacher, Delia is a Veteran and her experience managing her PTSD lends itself well to teaching from experience.

Thank you Delia and all Veterans for your service.
